Parents Role
The role of parents within Troop 234 is to be supportive of the Troop's efforts and to provide the atmosphere Scouts need to learn and excel.
Parents should:
Read their Scout's handbook and understand the purpose and methods of Scouting.
Actively follow their Scout's progress (or lack thereof) and offer gentle encouragement and a push when needed.
Show support to both the individual Scout and the Troop by attending all Troop Courts of Honor.
Assist, as requested, in all Troop activities. Be involved.
Be aware of the Troop program and annual calendar.
Please direct any questions you may have to the uniformed adult leaders so that we can ensure you obtain correct information and can also use your questions to identify any potential issues that need to be addressed by uniformed leadership with the Troop’s youth leaders.
